What the Freedom Flotilla exposes is not just the brutality of the Gaza blockade-it's the necropolitical obsession of a colonial state determined to maintain total containment, both symbolic and material. The boat isn't carrying weapons; it's carrying the unbearable possibility of an unshackled gaze.

What the Israeli state seeks to prevent is not a military infiltration-it'sanarrative fracture: who gets to show Gaza, who gets to speak, who gets to pasS, who gets to exist within the world's field of vision.

The violence here is performative. Israel isn't reacting to a threat-it is staging a demonstration of colonial sovereignty.

A performance aimed not only at Gaza, but also at us-the supposedly powerless witnesses-whom it tries to render complicit through exhaustion, indifference, or relativism.
